Meet Laura
Laura is a birthworker from the North Seattle area who found her calling in 2015. She carries certification as a Postpartum Doula through NAPS and as a Lactation Educator through Evergreen Perinatal Education.
Laura believes in trusting the process of birth and the power of the birthing body. She believes in trusting parents and their innate ability to parent and care for their children. She knows that her time with clients is fleeting, so she is intentional and mindful of her presence in such a profound period in their lives. Her goals are to encourage, uplift, and support families without judgment or agenda.
Laura has specialized training and experience in supporting women who have experienced trauma, including sexual trauma. She aims to provide care that is trauma informed and to help parents heal through the process of birth and the journey of parenting. She is experienced in supporting families experiencing PMADs (perinatal mood and anxiety disorders) and provides care that is nurturing, supportive, and mindful.
Laura spends her free time with her family, which includes her three children, pitbull named Rock and German Shepherd named Coco. Her hobbies include exercise (she is a professional bodybuilder in the IFBB League), playing volleyball, writing jingles on her guitar/ukulele for her kids, and learning. She is also a Certified Nutrition Coach and has helped hundreds of individuals reach their health and fitness goals.
